Entente Cordiale

Newly bereaved of a beautiful young French wife, Alice, Adam accepts a post in the Scottish diplomatic service which he hopes will provide clues to mysteries he had discovered about his late wife. This takes into the murky water of right-wing French politics and a meeting with Marine Le Pen, and then with Alice's family, above all her identical twin Simone and her father who has been a supporter of National Front, now National Rally. Constantly confusing Simone with her sister he falls in love with her and they engage in exploration together in Marseille pursuing a woman who may have drawn Alice in Politics, but now believed to have been killed.
Adam's explorations are helped by a friend, a police officer he meets and uncovers some painful realities about his wife and her sister, to whom by now he is engaged. Convinced she is a compulsive liar, and knowing now his wife had been likewise, he leaves France and flies to Cornwall, where his policeman friend had discovered the 'dead' woman they had sought in Marseille, he confronts her, only to be find that she is nothing like he expected but working as a psychotherapist who helps him make sense of all that has happened. For the first time, he discovers what love is as a reality and not just a fantasy and they make plans to move to Scotland where his closest friends have a farm but seeks to make one final contact with Simone who is recovering in a psychiatric hospital from her own traumas, but is presented from doing so by her doctor. In Edinburgh, he learns that he is to be a father.

Eleanor Jennings: The Supermodel Serial Killer?

Everyone has heard of Eleanor Jennings – the Supermodel accused of being a Serial Killer in the Old Bailey. This book tells her life story from her childhood when she may have committed her first murder, through her life working in a bank, before being spotted by the Irwin Harrison Agency. Everyone adores her and no one suspects anything until a journalist begins to ask questions. She travels across the world and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful of women.
Then she is made to into therapy and it is there that the therapist begins to suspect she is a psychopath, a killer wholly devoid of feeling.
The climax comes in the trial in court in which Eleanor triumphs against all the odds and walks free, the therapist knows that she will kill again, and that is quite likely to be her!

Emily and the Bishop

Alex Elliot, formerly a philosopher and then a young bishop leaves the Church saying he can no longer believe. He is persuaded to accompany a poet on her American tour, and there they fall in love. An unlikely escape from a terrible tragedy in Vancouver brings them home engaged. Oliver, the head of a major publishing house is engaged in smuggling priceless books out of Italy with the help of his niece Anne-Marie, and decides to abandon nefarious activities and move permanently to Italy to life with his beloved Alessandra, but things go catastrophically wrong when he meets a woman police officer and falls in love with her. Meanwhile Anne-Marie is suspected by the police of assisting her uncle but agrees to help them solve a major art crime if they will conveniently forget all about her. Meanwhile at the wedding of Alex and Emily she meets Edgar, a civil servant from Edinburgh, but makes a total mess of the opportunity for them to get to know one another better. Can there be a third wedding or is she heading for prison where she might have to be "gay for the stay"?

Risen From The Dead

Charlotte might as well be dead. From her birth onwards everything has gone wrong and her life is hopeless: drugs and prostitution. Olivia Doyle

A GP id freed from prison on appeal, having been set up by a violent criminal gang in Bristol. He, his partner and her two boys move to what they hope will be a quiet practice in the Dales. On their way they once again find themselves caught up with the gang's activities but are able inform the police in time. The gang seek revenge and only by the intervention of a female police officer is tragedy averted. Soon after, however, something terrible happens and the police officer moves to take up new work in Cumbria to be near the family. Two secrets are revealed: the first about love, and the second about the arrival of a woman called Olivia Doyle. And then one of the boys is abducted by someone working in league with the gang from Bristol and time is running out as they seek to find them.

Don't Call The Bleeders Sheep: Life in the Yorkshire Dales

A mother and daughter are intent on escaping from their unhappy lives and move to the Yorkshire Dales. One falls for a sheep farmer, the other for a vicar, though both men are also soldiers. Into their lives comes a teenage girl, Leanne, with a disturbed past but who reveals a love of farming. A shadow hangs over them all, however, in that the farmer's past as a member of Special Forces is in danger of catching up with him. Falling Apart

An Accidental Saviour

Word reacher her that someone she values is now to be a target and goes to Devon to warn him. CIRA send two agents, one a reluctant doctor who accidentally found himself in this position and young man who goes with a definite purpose to kill.
MI5 seek to make sense of bluffs as they prepare to defend their former agent and only realise too late that was a decoy and that someone is the real target. The doctor, also a decoy, is captured but then by a masterly exercise of his medical know knowledge and wisdom saves a woman with a massive uterine haemorrhage from death and is surprisingly hailed as a hero
The would-be assassin also has as unexpected ending to the story working with a woman from Yorkshire she can barely understand. Nancy Carmichael dies twice but did she jump or was she pushed?

Crossing Lines

Outwardly David is a highly successful and highly thought of evangelical minister in a South London Baptist Church, until he witnesses a terrible chance occurrence begins to bring out something quite different from within. His wife, Diane, has also reached a point of no return in terms of both her religion and sexuality. The world of certainties begins to fall apart, and David's future life becomes increasingly bound up with an Islamic woman. If he can survive the profound hostility he has engendered, this could be the way of life and love.

Happenings

Billy starts life unhappy and things get worse, until into his life comes light in the form of Anita. Then tragedy strikes, twice over, but Billy suddenly finds that in a will he has been left a company making curtains. Still trying to find meaning he meets a Polish woman serving tea in a college canteen and offers her a job. It soon becomes obvious that their relationship is not merely professional but considerably more. In coming together and starting what proves to be a large family of girls, Billy still encounters 'things that happen', mostly bad, but despite everything, Billy wins through to unexpected triumph.

The Culture Of Deceit: Who watches the watchers?

Alex is invited to do a major piece of work for the Parole Board in Banklyn High Security Prison but once there he is alerted to a serious matter related to the smuggling in of drugs. His informant is then murdered late one night in Hull and Alex begins to wonder what lies behind it. In this he is helped first by Peter, a young friend who in turns brings in his girl-friend Kelly, a technical wizard working for Customs and Excise who begins to unravel the mystery despite the almost total lack of interest shown by the police.Meanwhile Alex is involved with the application for Parole from a double child rapist and murderer and he visits the parents of the two girls. He opposes Parole but is amazed to discover it is granted by the Secretary of State. But this too is all a matter of deceit and what follows in the streets of Leeds is inevitable.For Alex it sometimes feels far too much to be dealing with, and his wife Emily, a well-known poet and her mother, are much more concerned with wanting to help him mind meaning in life. He had once been a Professor of Philosophy and then became Bishop of Truro which he detested and left after just two years, but where will he find a spiritual home? His psychiatrist makes an astonishing revelation, perhaps in the hope of assisting Alex.

Pianissimo: Love, Betrayal, Silence

or any of us life can be going smoothly along and then a chance encounter can change everything, and sometimes for the worse. Two sisters, one a composer, and the other totally deaf but unbelievably beautiful find their lives changed in unexpected and far from pleasant ways as they experience betrayal.Also experiencing betrayal are MI5, and the presence of a splinter group of the IRA in London.
